Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick

So you look awake, (even if you’re not) and just pretty

I’ve carried this product in my bag of tricks for years. And I’d bet my next plane ticket that the next time I wear it, someone will say, “You look so pretty/nice/well rested.” (Yes, a mom in her 40s will take that last one.) The bronze works best for my coloring – fair to light skin tone and blue eyes. I sweep it over my face for a fresh out of the sun glow and swipe it over my eyes for a quick perk up. Dab the highlighter under your brow and in the corner of your eye and you just got a full 8 hours of sleep. It’s all you need for a weekend day of whatever!

A Spritzer  – for your face

I’m always up for a spritzer of any sort, but trust me, sneaky bottles of facial spray keep me refreshed and happy all day. Rosewater, lavender, or cucumber are my favorites. Just purchase a small one, (I’ve always loved Mario Badescu’s – only $7.00), and keep it handy for whenever you need a boost. Great for travel or reviving a complexion that has been staring at a screen for a year. Just save the small bottle and keep refilling. They also save you time in the am – more on that to come!

Separate Facial Sunscreen…

This is your friendly reminder from one who grew up in the 80s and 90s when tans were IT. I don’t need to get into the details – we know what we need to do. Now, my products live in their own separate “face bag,” and every summer, my husband tries to ban me from buying more pricey ones. But you cannot F with your face – or any part of your body – the face just needs some extra love. So here are some of my favorites for my sensitive  face:

EltaMD Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 (no idea why it’s that number, but I love it.)

Coola Classic Face Sunscreen SPF 50 White Tea

Coola SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray – another spray trick for reapplication. Great for when you are running after kids. And you don’t need to wear makeup to use it.
